Time zone
Time zone defines the date boundaries for your data reports, ensuring accurate statistics. The configured time zone determines when each day begins and ends for your analytics, so metrics like daily visits and unique visitors are calculated for the correct calendar days.
Your mini program's time zone is determined automatically and cannot be changed. This topic explains how the time zone is determined, what reports are affected, and where to view the applied time zone.
How the time zone is determined
To maintain consistency for all businesses within an app, the time zone for analytics reporting is set at the app level. Your mini program automatically inherits this setting. The process works as follows:
- App-level setting: The super app sets a default time zone for each target app, typically based on their primary region of operation.
- Automatic inheritance: Your mini program automatically adopts the time zone of the target app it is released to.
- Analytics per app:
- If your mini program runs in a single app, all analytics use that app's time zone.
- If your mini program runs across multiple apps, analytics are calculated separately for each app, using each app's respective time zone.
Note: The time zone for your mini program is fixed and cannot be changed. This guarantees consistent reporting for all mini programs in the same super app.
Affected reports
All analytics and reports for your mini program use the time zone of its target app. This setting affects the following reports:

View the time zone in a report
The time zone used for analytics is displayed on each report page, either in the header or next to the date selector. It is displayed according to the following rules:
- Format: Time zones are displayed using UTC offsets. For example,
UTC+08:00for China Standard Time orUTC-05:00for Eastern Standard Time. - Automatic adjustment: If the target app's region observes Daylight Saving Time (DST), the platform automatically adjusts the displayed UTC offset when the time change occurs.
To find the time zone used for a specific report, follow the instructions in the relevant report guide:
