Force remove mini programs
Super apps can forcibly remove merchants' mini programs, removing all released versions across the environments of the specified target apps. This action also stops any ongoing releases of new versions to the same apps. This functionality addresses urgent situations where a mini program poses risks, such as security vulnerabilities, compliance violations, or harmful behavior. Follow this guide to forcibly remove a mini program.
Before you begin
Before forcibly removing a mini program, meet the following prerequisites:
- Access to the platform's functionalities is role-based. Ensure your role is Workspace Admin.
- The force removal functionality is only available when the mini program has at least one version in the Grayscale Release or Full Release status.
Procedure
To forcibly remove a mini program, follow these steps:
Step 1: Submit force removal request
- In the left navigation menu, click Mini Programs to view the mini program list.
- Find and click the target mini program from the list to view its details page.
- On the details page, click Force Remove Mini Program.
- On the popup that appears:
- Select Target Apps where you want to remove the mini program from.
- Enter Reason for Force Removal.
- (Optional) Upload Supporting Images.
- Click Submit for Review to submit the request for internal review.
Step 2: Check request status
You can check the result of your removal request in the following two places:
- On the My Request page.
- In your account's email inbox. The result is sent once the super app completes processing your request.
The next step depends on the request result:
- If the request is approved, proceed to the next step.
- If the request is rejected, check the rejection reason and address the issues accordingly. Then, resubmit a force removal request.
Step 3: Verify success
The mini program is removed once the request is approved. The mini program version statuses related to the specified target apps update as follows:
Original status | Current status |
| Archived |
Under Review | New version created |
