Block workspace members
This guide explains how to temporarily revoke a member's access to a workspace by using the block feature. Blocking is a temporary and reversible action designed to immediately revoke a member's access for security or administrative reasons, without permanently removing them or their contributions from the workspace.
Blocking a member does not delete the data or any contributions they have made. All their work remains intact in the workspace.
Blocking vs. Deletion:
- Blocking is a reversible action intended for temporary access control. After a member is blocked from a workspace, the workspace is still displayed in their workspace hub. You can restore access by unblocking the member.
- Deleting a member permanently deletes them from the workspace. After a member is deleted, the workspace is no longer displayed in their workspace hub. To restore access, you must send a new invitation.
Prerequisites
- Only workspace admins can block and unblock members.
- Only members in the Active state can be blocked. For more information, see Status.
