Merchant-related approvals

The Merchant tab on the Approvals page serves as a centralized hub for managing the entire lifecycle of merchant-related requests. It provides a clear and efficient workflow for both request submitters and approvers.

This topic walks you through the features of the Merchant tab. You will learn how to:

  • Navigate and view lists of merchant-related requests.
  • Filter and sort requests to find what you need.
  • Examine the detailed information for each request.
  • Approve, reject, or withdraw requests.

Getting started

To get started, take the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Mini Program platform.
  2. After accessing the workspace, click Approvals-Fill.png in the lower-left corner to navigate to the Approvals page.
  3. On the Approvals page, you can view requests based on your role:
  • My Approvals: This tab displays requests that are assigned to you for review and action.
  • My Requests: This tab displays requests that you have submitted.

To view merchant-related requests, click the Merchant category below the main tabs.

View merchant-related requests

View request list

The request list provides a summary of all merchant-related requests. Each row represents a single request and contains the following columns.

Column

Description

Title

A brief, descriptive title for the request. Click on the title to navigate to the detailed view of a specific request.

Name

The name of the merchant associated with the request.

Category

The type of the request. You can filter the list by one or more categories:

Merchant Onboard: A request to onboard to the platform.
Merchant Change: A request to modify an existing merchant's profile.
Merchant Invite: A request to send an invitation to a prospective merchant to join the platform.
Merchant Console Access: A request to grant a user access to the merchant console.

Submitted By

The name of the user who submitted the request. You can filter the list by this field to find requests from specific submitters.

Created At

The date and time the request was submitted. You can click the Sort (1).png icon in the column to sort the requests in ascending or descending order of creation time.

Completed On

The date and time the request was finalized (approved, rejected, or withdrawn). You can click the Sort (1).png icon in the column to sort the requests in ascending or descending order of completion time.

Status

The current stage of the request in the approval workflow. You can filter the list by one or more states:

Under Review: The request has been submitted and is awaiting review.
Approved: The request has been approved by the designated reviewer.
Rejected: The request has been rejected by a reviewer.
Withdrawn: The request has been canceled by the original submitter.

You can click Download in the upper-right corner of the list to download the detailed information of the requests.

View a request

To review the full details of a request, click on its Title in the request list. This will open the request detail page, which contains comprehensive information organized into several sections.

  • Request details: At the top of the page, you'll find key metadata about the request, including the requestor, request creation time, current status, and the assigned reviewer.
  • Merchant Information: This section displays the specific details related to the merchant for Merchant Onboard and Merchant Console Access requests, including detailed business and legal information: Company Name, Business Representative, Country/Region, Customer Service Tel/Email, Website, Business Location, etc.
  • Partner Information: This section displays partner information for Merchant Change and Merchant Invite requests.
    • Basic Information: The basic information for the partner, including the name, brand, and location of the partner.
    • Admin Information: The admin information of the partner, including the admin's name, phone number, position, and email address.
    • Other Information: Other information of the partner, including tags, authentication code, partner type, and templates.

Approve a merchant request

To approve a merchant request, take the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Mini Program platform.
  2. After accessing the workspace, click the Approvals-Fill.pngicon in the lower-left corner to navigate to the Approvals page.
  3. On the Approvals page, locate the request to approve in the My Approvals tab.
  4. Click the request's Title to open the detail page.
  5. After carefully reviewing all the information, click Approve in the top-right corner of the page.

  1. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Approve.

After approval, the request status is updated to Approved and "This request is approved." is displayed at the top of the page.

Reject a merchant request

To reject a merchant request, take the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Mini Program platform.
  2. After accessing the workspace, click the Approvals-Fill.pngicon in the lower-left corner to navigate to the Approvals page.
  3. On the Approvals page, locate the request to reject in the My Approvals tab.
  4. Click the request's title to open the detail page.
  5. After reviewing the information, click Reject in the top-right corner of the page.

  1. In the confirmation dialog, provide a reason for the rejection and click Confirm.

  1. Click Reject to finalize the action.

After rejection, the request is marked as Rejected and the reason you provided is displayed on the request details page for the submitter to review.

Withdraw a merchant request

As a submitter, you can withdraw a request that you have created, provided it has not yet been approved or rejected.

  1. Log on to the Mini Program platform.
  2. After accessing the workspace, click theApprovals-Fill.png icon in the lower-left corner to navigate to the Approvals page.
  3. On the Approvals page, locate the request to withdraw in the My Requests tab.
  4. Click the request's title to open the detail page.
  5. Click Withdraw in the top-right corner of the page.

  1. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Withdraw.

After withdrawal, the request's status changes to Withdrawn.
